"The Women's Night Out"
Women everywhere experience challenges as they pursue their dreams and take care of their communities. It is important that we acknowledge and encourage women to work together and aspire to higher goals. Celebrating Surviving and Inspiring Thriving.
The Women’s Night Out Project is dedicated to celebrating the triumphs and achievements of women and providing the environment that offers the support needed to open dialogue and connect with people in our communities. It is an evening of social networking for women from all sectors of community and participants enjoy an empowerment workshop, book reading and food tasting surrounded by music and art. The event is produced and hosted by Desi DeRata and was inspired by the community response to The Delicious Adventures of Carlisle Fletcher, the sensual cookbook which was written as a means to heal sexual trauma and has become an inspiration to women needing a sense of empowerment.
The book’s release will be celebrated with the first “Women's Night Out Project” event. Women from all sectors will come together to network, identify resources and celebrate triumph over adversity.
